2. If I have a discount code, what should I do to get my special discount?

3. How to do my payment transaction?
   After you've confirm your purchase item in "View Cart" page, click on "Checkout" and it will proceed to payment option.

4. What is GPS?
   The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a fully functional Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS).Utilizing a constellation of at least 24 Medium Earth Orbit satellites that transmit precise microwave signals, the system enables a GPS receiver to determine its location, speed, direction, and time.
   
   
5. How does it work?
   Global Positioning System satellites transmit signals to equipment on the ground. GPS receivers passively receive satellite signals; they do not transmit. GPS receivers require an unobstructed view of the sky, so they are used only outdoors and they often do not perform well within forested areas or near tall buildings. GPS operations depend on a very accurate time reference, which is provided by atomic clocks at the U.S. Naval Observatory. Each GPS satellite has atomic clocks on board. Each GPS satellite transmits data that indicates its location and the current time. All GPS satellites synchronize operations so that these repeating signals are transmitted at the same instant. The signals, moving at the speed of light, arrive at a GPS receiver at slightly different times because some satellites are farther away than others. The distance to the GPS satellites can be determined by estimating the amount of time it takes for their signals to reach the receiver. When the receiver estimates the distance to at least four GPS satellites, it can calculate its position in three dimensions.
   
   
6. What are the company background?
   GPS BAY was established on the mid of 2007 and fully acquired by PND International (HK) Ltd. GBS BAY has fostered a close working partnership with MapKing International Ltd on the strategic partnership.
   
   
7. What is the warranty period?
   There is a 1 year product warraInty (All accessories with 6 months warranty including battery)  and it's depend on the package purchased.
   
   
8. If I'd lost my accessories such as the car mount, will I be able to get the replacement?
   Yes, you may visit our Digital Mall outlet or main office for all your parts replacement. All repairs and services usually done within 3 working days.
   
   
9. Is there any subscription to use the service?
   There will be no subscription fee.
   
   
10. How do I update the maps?
    You may update your map by downloading the latest maps from our website. Go to www.gpsbay.com, click on Support follow by the Downlaod button. After finishing downloaded the maps, transfer the downloaded maps to your SD card via the mini USB cable.
    
    
11. Are there any charges for the map updates? What kind of maps are they?
    We are providing 2 kind of map for our users: MapKing (MapKing Malaysia) and Malsing (Malaysia) maps. For MapKing map update, it is optional for the user to pay RM150 per year (normally 3-4 times update per year) or user pays RM60 per update. We are providing the Malsing map update with zero fee.
    
    
12. Does the weather affect the signal?
    The signal will not be affected by the weather condition.
    
    
13. There are no signal when I turn on my device. What should I do?
    When you are turning on your device, please make sure you have a clear view of the sky. You will have to wait until the satellites detect your current position. This may take a few minutes depends on your geografical location and the power of your battery.
    
    
14. I just bought the device and I do not know how to use it.
    Kindly visit our website, there is a user manual and quick start guide for you to download and get you started.
    
    
15. Can I use my navigator inside a building?
    You will not be able to use your GPS inside a building.
    
    
16. Can I use it at night or midnight?
    Yes, the service is available 24/7.
    
17. Can I upgrade my SD card with a greater capacity?
    Yes, you may visit our service centers in order to upgrade your SD card.
    
    
18. How do I connect my GPS to my computer?
    You may connect your GPS to your computer for file transfer with the mini USB cable, which is included in the package.
    
    
19. Can I install other maps beside MapKing and Malsing maps?
    Other maps will not be compatible with the device software.
    
20. My car is tinted, will it affect the signal?
    If you car tinted is too dark and its reflection rate is extremely high, it might block the signal. In this case, you may need an external antenna, which will strengthen the signal reception .
    
    
21. Can I use my GPS for different cars?
    Yes. The device is extremely portable that you may use it for different cars. You just have to remove the car-mount from your current car to the other one. Also make sure that you have the in-car charger to ensure your device would not run out of battery.
    
    
22. Will the device notify the distance from my destination?
    Yes. The device will notify the distance of your destination according to your current position.
    
    
23. The signal became weak when I went to a crowded place (tall building). What do I do?
    The crowded place with tall buildings might affect the signal strength but you will be still able to use the navigator.
    
    
24. My device ran out of battery when I was updating my map. What should I do?
    You are suggested to re-download the map to ensure you have a complete one. It is adviceable to fully charge and connect your power cord to the device while downloading the maps.
    
    
25. What are the differences between your GPS and a handphone GPS system?
    GPS BAY navigator is specially designed car navigator. All the hardware and software specifications are put together to perform its best as navigator. Its also known as Portable Navigation Device (PND). The handphone navigation system is more like an additional feature added by the handphone manufacturer and only serve the general usage. The multi-tasking of a handphone will slow down its processor speed. Besides, the touch point on the hadphone is usually very small and it is difficult for the driver to touch on it while they are driving. GPS BAY navigator with bigger screen and touch point allows finger touch instead of using a stylus. Using the handphone for navigating, you may need to pay for the data packet rate charge by telco company. Using the PND, is totally free of charge.
    
    
26. How accurate is the navigation system?
    There is a plus minus 10 meters radius.
